Local SEO Management That Builds on a Foundation That's Already Right

Most SEO agencies spend the first few months fixing technical problems before ranking work can even start. This service is only available for sites we've built, which means the foundation is already clean and the work starts from day one.

Who this is for

This service is for small businesses running on a website we built who want to compound their search rankings over time without managing it themselves. If your site is live and performing well technically but you're not yet ranking for the searches that matter in your market, this is what moves the needle. It's ongoing strategic work: managing your Google Business Profile, tracking where you rank and why it's changing, producing content that builds local authority, and reporting on what's actually happening each month. This service is only available to clients whose websites were built by Brian Woodson Web Development. It is not available for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or any other platform we did not build.

Problems this solves

  • Your site is technically solid but you're not ranking for the searches that bring in customers
  • Your Google Business Profile exists but nobody is actively managing or optimizing it
  • Competitors are outranking you in local search and you're not sure why or what to do about it
  • You don't have time to track rankings, produce content, and stay on top of local SEO yourself
  • You've tried SEO services before but couldn't tell what you were actually paying for each month

What's included

  • Google Business Profile management: weekly posts, photo updates, review responses, Q&A monitoring, and service information maintenance
  • Monthly rank tracking across your primary target keywords and service area, with movement analysis
  • Citation monitoring: ensuring your business name, address, and phone number are consistent across directories
  • Review generation support: templates and prompts to help you collect reviews consistently
  • Up to two content pieces per month published via Sanity: location pages, Knowledge articles, or GBP posts based on what the current strategy calls for
  • Monthly report covering rank changes, GBP impressions and call volume, organic traffic, and a clear summary of what was done and what changed

Why it matters

  • Your Google Business Profile stays active and optimized, which is the highest-leverage activity for local map pack rankings
  • You know exactly where you rank, what moved, and why -- every month, not once a year
  • Content compounds over time. Each location page and article builds authority that makes future rankings easier
  • Reviews accumulate consistently instead of in occasional bursts when you remember to ask
  • You can focus on running your business while local search presence builds in the background
  • No guessing about what you're paying for. The monthly report shows the work and the results in plain language

This service is not for

This service is not available for sites we did not build. We require clean technical foundations and full control over the site's structure before committing to ranking outcomes. Offering this service on a WordPress or template-built site would mean working around platform limitations rather than building on a solid base. This service also does not include design changes, code updates, or new site features. If the strategy calls for a new page or section that requires development work, that is scoped and quoted separately. Publishing new content to Sanity Studio is included up to the monthly limit. Writing new code is not.

Common questions

  • How long before I see results?

Local SEO is a compounding investment, not a switch. Most clients see meaningful rank movement within 60 to 90 days for lower-competition terms and within four to six months for more competitive searches. The timeline depends on your market, your starting position, and how competitive your specific search terms are. We are honest about this upfront and set expectations before the engagement starts.

  • What does the monthly report actually show me?

The report covers four things: where you rank for your target keywords compared to the previous month, your Google Business Profile impressions and call volume, your organic traffic from Search Console, and a plain-language summary of what work was done and what changed. Nothing buried in charts that require interpretation. You should be able to read it in five minutes and understand exactly what is happening.

  • What counts as a content piece?

A content piece is a new location page, a Knowledge article, or a Google Business Profile post published to your site or GBP. The type is determined by what the current strategy calls for, not by a fixed rotation. In a month where adding a new city page is the highest-leverage move, that is what gets produced. In a month where a Knowledge article targeting a specific search term makes more sense, that is what happens instead.

  • What happens if I want a new page or design change as part of the SEO strategy?

If the work involves writing or changing code, it is scoped and quoted as a separate project. Publishing new content to Sanity Studio is included within the monthly limit. Development work is not. This boundary keeps the retainer focused on SEO work and prevents scope from expanding in ways that are better handled as discrete projects.

  • Is there a minimum commitment?

Yes. This is a six-month minimum engagement. Local SEO produces results over time and a shorter engagement does not give the work enough runway to produce meaningful movement. We are transparent about this before the engagement starts because we want clients who are committed to the process, not looking for a quick fix.
